Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Yusei Kikuchi shut down the Los Angeles Dodgers offense.
Toronto completed an 8-1 sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday (April 27) at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. The Jays swept the three-game series.
Toronto starter Kikuchi was dominant. Kikuchi earned his eighth win of the season (3-0), allowing one run on seven hits with eight strikeouts and two walks over six innings. He shut down a Dodgers offense that had scored eight runs the day before.
At the plate, Bo Bissett had three hits and two RBIs, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had two hits and Merrifield had two hits (one home run) and four RBIs.
Dodgers starter Tony Gonsoli, who won 16 games last season, allowed five runs on seven hits with five strikeouts and three walks in five innings to drop to 5-4 on the season. Gonsolin hasn’t won a game in three straight starts since Aug. 8 against the Los Angeles Angels.바카라
