Perfect again, Iboldi aims for Cy Young? ‘Recent 7G ERA 0.68’

Nathan Eovaldi, 33, of the Texas Rangers, is on a roll, having been named American League Pitcher of the Month in May for his recent stellar performance.

On May 5, Texas hosted the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

On the mound for Texas, Iboldi threw 87 pitches (56 for strikes) over six innings, allowing one hit and no runs. He walked none and struck out seven.

Texas won big, 12-3, behind Iboldi’s perfect game and a 15-hit, 12-run offense. With the win, Texas completed a three-game sweep of Seattle.

With the complete game, Iboldi improved to 8-2 with a 2.24 ERA in 12 games this season, throwing 80 1/3 innings. He has 77 strikeouts.

In his last seven games, Iboldi has allowed just four runs in 52 2/3 innings pitched. His ERA in that span is a whopping 0.68.

His season ERA has dropped from 5.20 to 2.24 since April 25 against the Cincinnati Reds. Iboldi’s incredible run continues.

Texas is currently without ace Jacob deGrom, 35, on the mound. However, Iboldi’s performance has completely erased his absence.스포츠토토
