Yusupa Mukoko (19) continues her journey with Borussia Dortmund.
On the 22nd (Korean time), Borussia Dortmund announced on the club’s official website the news of Mukoko’s renewal, saying, “We have signed contract renewal negotiations with striker Yoo Supa Mukoko. The contract period is until June 2026.”
Mukoko is a young prospect born in 2004 and joined Dortmund’s youth team in 2016. Afterwards, he scored 90 goals in 56 matches for the Dortmund U-17 team and 51 goals in 32 matches for the U-19 team, performing well enough to play in the first team even at a young age.
Mukoko made his Bundesliga debut on 22 November 2020, coming on as a substitute for Erling Haaland in the 85th minute against Hertha BSC, at 16 years and 1 day. Afterwards, on December 18, 2020, he scored an equalizer against Union Berlin, setting the record for the youngest score in the Bundesliga.
In addition, Mukoko set the record for the youngest player to debut in the UEFA Champions League (16 years and 87 days). 토토사이트
Mukoko’s contract renewal negotiations were difficult. With the contract expiring in June, various big clubs have expressed interest in Mukoko, and negotiations over the past year have not progressed.
Finally, Dortmund caught Mukoko. According to the club, director Sebastian Kell said: “Mukoko is still an outstanding player with a lot of potential to develop. We are delighted to have negotiated a new contract with him before entering the crucial second half of the season. It was important to finish it,” he said.
“I am delighted to continue my journey with Dortmund. Here I played for the youth team and debuted as a professional footballer. Now I am ready to take the next step with the club,” said Mukoko.
