Lotte, Kia, Samsung, and Kiwoom made changes to their first-team rosters on Saturday.
Lotte dropped pitchers Koo Seung-min and Kim Kang-hyun to the second team. Instead, they called up infielder Bae Young-bin and pitcher Lee Jin-ha to the first team. In 63 games this season, Koo Seung-min has a 2-6 record, three saves, 21 holds, and a 3.86 ERA.
He has struggled a bit in September, going 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in five games (two runs in four innings). Time to recharge in the secondary.
KIA called up infielder Byun Woo-hyuk to the first team. Byun’s stats for the first team this season are 2-for-3 with six home runs and 21 RBIs in 60 games. With Byun’s promotion, pitcher Kim Jae-yeol was designated for assignment.
Kim Jae-yeol, who was promoted back to the first team on the 13th, had a poor outing against Doosan on the 15th, giving up three runs in one inning.
Samsung called up outfielder Kim Dong-yeop. Kim is batting 2-for-6 with four doubles, five home runs and 18 RBIs in 58 games this season. He’s a power hitter who could be a big part of the team’s offense if he gets consistent at-bats as his contact ability improves.먹튀검증
In exchange for Kim’s promotion, three players were sent down to the second team: outfielders Kim Tae-hoon and Kim Hun-gon and pitcher Choi Ha-neul. The two roster spots will likely be filled on the 17th.
Kiwoom sent right-handed pitcher Park Seung-ju to the second team. Park went 0-3 with a 3.50 ERA in 18 games for the first team this year.
Meanwhile, the KBO had four games canceled earlier in the day as the league was affected by the fall rainy season across the country. Only the game between SSG and LG at Jamsil Stadium was canceled.
Gwangju Doosan-KIA and Daejeon KT-Hanwha were scheduled to be played on the 18th. Sajik Kiwoom-Lotte will be played on the 19th. Changwon Samsung-NC will be organized at a later date.
