I found a replacement for Kane… Brighton 18-year-old FW scouting battle in earnest

Tottenham Hotspur are looking for a long-term replacement for Harry Kane.

However, there is a high possibility of sticking with Chelsea, who have spent huge transfer fees, so a scouting battle is inevitable.

The British media’The Sun’ said on the 20th (Korean time) that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are aiming to sign Brighton’s 18-year-old ‘Wonder Kid’ Evan Ferguson in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The media said, “Tottenham are considering Ferguson as a potential long-term replacement for Harry Kane. Chelsea, who have not scored recently, also rate him very highly, and manager Graham Porter has a history of signing him while coaching Brighton.” reported that

Ferguson, a young striker born in 2004, was born in Ireland and moved to Brighton at the age of 16 in January 2021 and grew up by skipping to the U-21 and U-23 teams.

He scored 8 goals in 17 matches in the Premier League 2 (2nd team league) in the last 2021/22 season, and also appeared on the professional stage by playing in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. He also appeared in 2 matches in the FA Cup and recorded 1 assist.  안전놀이터

Ferguson was promoted to the first team after this season’s World Cup break and became the youngest scorer in Brighton’s history when he scored in the second game at home to leaders Arsenal. He has played 7 matches in the league, scoring 3 goals and making 2 assists.

In addition to this, Ferguson made his debut for the Irish national team in November of last year after going through the national team for each age group step by step. He is a young talent that Ireland is also paying attention to.

Tottenham still have the presence of Kane, who became the club’s top scorer, but they are looking to the future. As he was born in 1993 and is already in his 30s, it is unclear how much longer he will show good performances.

Chelsea is simple. Chelsea, who spent 611.49 million euros (approximately 846.5 billion won) alone in the 2022/23 season, is suffering from the absence of a forward striker.

As a result, Chelsea have scored just one goal in their last five matches. The reality is that the results of 5 games are 3 draws and 2 losses, and the ranking remains in 10th place.
