Big Year back…Real aim to sign the best LB in the game

Real Madrid want Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson.

Real are regarded as the best team in the world beyond Spain. However, this season has been far from satisfactory. They’ve failed to win the league behind ‘rivals’ Barcelona and are in danger of losing second place to Atletico Madrid. In the UEFA Champions League (UCL), they suffered a humiliating defeat to Manchester City with a combined score of 1-5. They did manage to win the Copa del Rey, but that wasn’t enough.

In order to restore their shattered pride, they are looking to strengthen in the transfer market. The focus has been on defense rather than a solid midfield or forward line, with left fullback, arguably the most vulnerable position, being the main target.

The squad is thin. Currently, only Per Mendy can be considered a professional left fullback at Real. Recently, Eduardo Camabinga has been playing on the left, but he’s not 100% satisfactory. That’s not to say that Mendy isn’t doing his job.

Therefore, the club is looking to sign a left fullback. “Scotland international Robertson is on Real’s list of targets for the summer transfer window,” according to British outlet Talk Sport, citing the Daily Mail.메이저놀이터

Considered one of the best left-backs in the game. After joining the Reds in 2017, he formed a formidable left-back duo with Trent Alexander-Arnold to lead the Reds to their glory days. Even with Arnold faltering a bit this season, Robertson has been consistently on top of his game. Sure, he’s down from his peak, but he’s still managed 11 assists in 43 games, including cup competitions.

Of course, there’s no guarantee. Robertson still has three years left on his contract. Considered one of the best fullbacks in the world, it would take an unimaginable amount of money for Real to sign him. Liverpool are also looking to rebound next season, so they won’t be giving up the core of their squad easily.
