Professional baseball has surpassed 4 million fans this season in the fourth-fewest games ever.
According to the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), 9512 fans attended the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League game between SSG and Kiwoom at 2 p.m. at the Gocheok SkyDome in Seoul. With this game, the KBO surpassed 4 million fans this season.
Later in the day, 20,959 people attended the Jamsil (KIA-LG) game at 5 p.m., 12,395 people attended the Daegu (Hanwha-Samsung) game, 5406 people attended the Suwon (NC-KT) game, and 7588 people attended the Ulsan (Doosan-LOTTE) game. With 364 games played so far this season, the KBO has accumulated 4.041 million fans.
This is the fourth time the league has surpassed the 4 million mark after 2018 (328 games), 2016 (334 games), and 2017 (341 games). A perennial bottom-feeder rebellion and a tight race at the top of the standings are among the reasons for this season’s success.먹튀검증
