Bank of Hope LPGA Match Play Quarterfinalists Confirmed

Pajari Annanarukarn (THA), Lynn Grant (SWE), Ayaka Furue (JPN) and Riona McGuire (IRL) advanced to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Women’s Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour’s Bank of Hope Match Play ($1.5 million purse) with straight-set victories on Monday (Aug. 28) at Shadow Creek (Par 72, 6804 yards) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fazari Ananarukan (World No. 97) was the first to advance to the quarterfinals, winning by three holes with two holes remaining against Spain’s Carlota Zimda (World No. 32).

Fazari Ananarukan is a one-time winner of the ISPS Handa World Invitational in 2021, but in terms of world rankings, he is a player who has fallen behind the times. Tied at 2-up after the first nine holes, it was the 11th hole that set the scene for the final round.

First, Timea birdied the 11th to set the tone, but Anantharukan won four consecutive holes from the 12th to the 15th to close out the match.

Sweden’s Lynn Grant earned a three-hole victory over Alban Valenzuela (SWE) with one hole remaining to set up a quarterfinal clash with Annanarukan. Valenzuela kept her opponent in check throughout the match, but she never led after the fourth hole.

The quarterfinal match between Ayaka Furue (JPN) and Celine Boutier (FRA) came down to the wire, with Ayaka clinching victory with a two-hole lead with one hole remaining.메이저놀이터
